Place Access & Inclusion

Access Link Consulting believes that good public spaces become Great Public Places when you apply a place-based approach to the inclusion of everyone’s access and movement “user needs” in the preliminary planning, design development, construction and asset management stages of each public space, private community place and PlaceMaking project.

Access Link Consulting developed the Place Access and inclusion Methodology to support and guide clients who could see that prioritising Place Access and Movement in their public space, community place or PlaceMaking project would significantly contribute to the projects overall social, cultural, environmental, and economic outcomes.

Our place-based approach considers a locations’ unique “sense of place” as the key foundation of our access consultancy services.
Qualities that contribute to a project sites “sense of place” are a community’s unique health, well-being and social needs, the influences of the surrounding physical environment and local economic priorities as well as each property owner or land managers functional, aesthetic, and overall Place aspirations.
