Place Access & Movement
Access Link Consulting believes that good public spaces become Great Community Places when you apply a place-based approach to the inclusion of everyone’s access and movement “user needs”.

Tailored to acknowledge the unique “sense of place” of each site, our goal is to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for people of all abilities and sensory needs, cultural backgrounds, and gender preference.

Our Place Access and Movement Service offers a comprehensive ‘whole of place’ or precinct wide approach prioritising accessibility and movement throughout the planning, design development, construction and asset management phases of public spaces, private community places and PlaceMaking projects.

This service assists clients focused on prioritising their project sites unique “sense of place” characteristics and access and movement requirements to advance the social, cultural, environmental, and economic outcomes within their Place Vision.

PLACE ACCESS & MOVEMENT SERVICE:
Place Access
Place Access is the relatability between a location’s physical, intuitive, and digital presence and the people desiring and planning to visit. A sense of comfort in accessing a Place begins prior to leaving the home or current location and is key to ensuring that the traveller or visitor is confident of their safety, their ability to comfortably reach their destination, and being satisfied with the journey.
Place Movement
Place Movement is viewed as the enabler of Place Access, actively connecting people to their personal, family, and friends’ livability experiences, as well as their own daily service needs, long-term economic prosperity, and health and wellbeing outcomes.
